The Abbey river (tribitury of the River Shannon) at the doorstep of the Locke has recieved a major facelift, the result being crystal clear waters flowing by, paralled by beautifully crafted stonework.

The marina closeby offers the boating enthusiasts, while on their cruise along the Shannon a chance to dock and pop up to the Locke to sample the eats of the new bistro washed down with a glass of Guinness.
